Just how many phases of matter can be identified? Can they be found on earth? How much observable matter in the universe is composed of plasma?

This program interactively walks the participants through the four states of matter. Students will learn to distinguish the physical properties of solids, liquids, gases, and plasma. They will learn about atoms, the smallest particle an element can be broken into. We will bring to your classroom a custom-designed device that can produce plasma and demonstrate the physical properties of this fourth state of matter.
