Size and scale, surface-to-volume ratio, self-assembly, and chemical compatibility are ideas that all come to realization in Exploring the Nanoworld, a set of hands-on activities around the theme of nanofiltration, created by the Soft Materials Research Center of the University of Colorado Boulder. Demonstrations, labs, and curriculum pieces have been developed by Center graduate students working with their counterparts at Arrupe High School, a minority-serving institution in Denver.
